With all of the news about Fannie and Freddie, it seems like we are all becoming experts on the secondary mortgage market. Less known is the not-so-distant cousin of the mortgage giants- Ginnie Mae. FHA and VA loans are both possible because of Ginnie Mae. I was thinking about how to best write about who they are and what they do, but why re-invent the wheel?
